As the federal agency entrusted with safeguarding our nation’s borders and facilitating trade and travel, the CBP requires a facility that prioritizes security and reflects a distinct aesthetic appeal. To meet these rigorous standards set by both the CBP and the General Services Administration, the building’s owner. The Warroad Land Port of Entry stands as an outstanding representation of early-twenty-first-century modernism fused with the imperatives of post–9/11 national security. This amalgamation has garnered widespread recognition, culminating in the project receiving the prestigious 2010 GSA Design Awards Construction Citation, an esteemed national accolade.
Valued at $133 million, this project encompasses various essential components. Among them is a multi-lane drive-through canopy featuring advanced security stations, ensuring a streamlined and efficient traffic flow. A dedicated commercial vehicle inspection building has also been included to meticulously scrutinize incoming vehicles.
