Wells Webster successfully completed the replacement of Plant 1 at the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant. The project involved the demolition of the nearly 70-year-old Plant 1 and the construction of a new conventional water treatment facility capable of processing 33 million gallons per day (MGD).
In addition to the new plant, the project included comprehensive site improvements, such as earthwork, electrical upgrades, yard piping, and stormwater control. The project also featured new landscaping and the replacement of raw water meters at Plant 2, contributing to the overall enhancement of the water treatment infrastructure.
